Damaged after striking buffaloes was the Vande Bharat train

The new Vande Bharat train between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a week ago. On Thursday morning, the train struck animals on tracks in Gujarat, causing minor damage. At 11:18 a.m., the event took place between the Gairatpur and Vatva stations.

"Suddenly, three and a half to four buffaloes appeared in the path of the Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat, breaking the FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) nose of the train. However, no functional component was harmed, according to a Railway official.According to the official, the corpses were taken out, and the train resumed its journey within eight minutes, arriving at Gandhinagar on schedule.

The officer continued, "The Railways is trying to advise communities not to leave cattle nearby tracks."

The buffaloes unexpectedly appeared on the tracks when the train was travelling at the permitted speed on that portion, according to Sumit Thakur, chief public relations officer (CPRO), WR."The train's driver was fully awake. He promptly applied the brakes and blasted the train's whistle, but his reaction time was slower "explained Mr. Thakur.

According to the CPRO, WR will install fence along the Gandhinagar–Ahmedabad segment in order to boost train speed to 160 kmph and prevent similar events in the future.According to Mr. Thakur, the fencing project will likely be finished by March 2024.Three buffaloes perished in the event, according to another official.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched off the third service in the Vande Bharat series, a locally designed and built semi-high-speed train, on September 30 from Gandhinagar Capital. The commercial operation of the train began the following day.Trains operated by Vande Bharat Express already travel the Delhi-Varanasi and Delhi-Katra routes.Beginning on Wednesday (October 5), WR changed the train's schedule, cutting the travel time between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar Capital by five minutes and between Gandhinagar Capital and Mumbai Central by twenty minutes.
